Predator or Prey

We can learn a lot from nature.

Take the dynamics of predators and prey, for instance.

Predators pursue what they want with outrageous intensity. After a successful pursuit, they rest in order to be able to match that necessary intensity in the future.

Prey stays perpetually busy. They’re always on the move. They’re not pursuing anything specific. They’re just trying not to get eaten. Busy, busy.

Their energy is spent hiding from what they don’t want, rather than actively pursuing what they do.

Would you rather be predator or prey when it comes to the direction of your life?

In nature, physical characteristics separate the hunters from the hunted.
In the human world, the divide is determined by mindset.

A rabbit can’t grow huge claws and teeth, but humans have the unique ability to reshape their thinking to get what they want out of life.

So, what do you want?

If you received a lifetime achievement award, how would someone you love and respect introduce you to the audience?

How much of your time and energy is dedicated to an intentional pursuit of those aspirations?

Or, are you merely keeping busy, just trying not to get “eaten” by the demands of life?

Be a predator for what you want, not prey to what you don’t.

Humans can choose.

Choose wisely.
